It’s Signup Time for the MGWA’s Quill & Tee Golf Club!

 

The Quill & Tee Golf Club is the MGWA’s exclusive Club Without Real Estate, offering all our members the opportunity to join, participate in Q&T-only events, and receive various benefits, such as MGA-GHIN handicapping services and The Met Golfer magazine.

 

All MGWA members are eligible to join the Quill & Tee GC, including those who may be members at other clubs.  Annual dues are $55.  To renew your membership or join for the 2019 season, click here.

 

The MGWA Activities Committee has confirmed Monday, May 20, for our season-opening meeting and golf outing with a visit to Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, NY. This is a special year for historic Knollwood, which was founded in 1894 and is celebrating its 125th anniversary this season.

 

Along with Knollwood, the MGWA Activities Committee is finalizing dates for four to five more outings in 2019. Among the venues on the prospective list this season: Hempstead G&CC, Rockville Links, Manhattan Woods, Bethpage Black and the Tuxedo Club, which will be honored as the MGWA Club of the Year at our National Awards Dinner on Monday, May 13^th.

 

Exact dates and tournament events at the venues will be announced soon. Our schedule will include a variety of activities, including special presentations by guest speakers and competition exclusively for members of the Quill & Tee GC, with prizes awarded.

 

In addition to our Quill & Tee qualifier for the men’s and women’s MGA/MetLife Four Ball Championship (a two-person Better Ball formerly known as the Met Net), other Q&T competitions include an individual President’s Cup (with handicap), and a men’s and women’s Club Championship. Our season-ending event each year is the MGWA Team Championship.

 

So mark down Monday, May 20^th at Knollwood on your calendars and stay tuned for exact dates at the other venues soon.  Please Note:  In order to participate in our May 20^th outing at Knollwood, you must join or renew your membership by May 8^th.
