Re: Deadline for Tuxedo Club Outing is Fast Approaching!

This is just a brief reminder that our deadline is approaching to sign up for the July 31st meeting and outing at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, NY.

The meeting and golf outing are scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2019, beginning with the bag drop and practice time between 8:45 and 10:30 am.  

Competition:  Back by popular demand, our Quill & Tee Golf Club is offering a Member-Guest event, running concurrently with the Q&TGC Club Championship individual competition. All Q&TGC attendees will be entered in the Club Championship, which will be scored at scratch. If entries warrant, the event will be conducted in flights. Additionally, Q&TGC members who sign up may invite a non-MGWA guest to join you and compete in a two-person Member-Guest event, with handicaps (the Q&T member-guest is limited to the first 20 members to sign up, but will be increased if overall room allows). All competitors must maintain verifiable USGA-GHIN handicap indexes. Prizes will be awarded in both Member-Guest and Club Championship competitions, along with Nearest to the Pin contests for all attendees. As always, all MGWA members are encouraged to attend and play golf even if you don't belong to the Quill & Tee GC, but the Member-Guest is a perk for our club-without-real-estate Quill & Tee members only. If sufficient entries are received from non-Q&T members, there will be an MGWA individual competition at scratch.

Entries:   Enter online via www.metgolfwriters.org (you must be logged in to access the signup page by clicking the green Login box in the upper right corner of the home page.  Your username is your email and your password is your last name with the first letter capitalized.  If you receive an “Access Denied” message, you have not logged in.). Or you may return the attached form with a check, payable to Metropolitan Golf Writers Association, for $85 per player to Robin Sauerhaft (rsauerhaft@mgagolf.org), MGWA Client Administrator, 49 Knollwood Rd, Elmsford, NY 10523, by 2:00 pm Monday, July 29, 2019. No refunds after that date. If you are listing a preference for group pairing, please make sure others are coming. Some pairings may be based on member-guest considerations.
