MGWA Redesigned Website is Live

Dear MGWA Members,

I’m pleased to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website.

The URL is the same (www.metgolfwriters.org), but as you’ll see, the site looks quite different.  Please log in by clicking the green “Login” box in the upper right corner to access the Members-only pages and features (reminder, your user name is your preferred email and your password is your last name – capitalize the first letter).

Many of you have asked if our Member Directory will be included on the new site.  All of the information that was formerly in the printed Directory has been included, though not all on the same page.  Here’s what you’ll find as you click through the site:

On the “Member Home” page

• The Member Roster, where you can look up contact info for each of our members
• The listing of our Executive Committee
• The Met Area Calendar
• Bylaws

On the “About” page

• Another listing of our Executive Committee (accessible to the general public; the other Executive Committee page is only visible to signed-in MGWA members)
• A listing of our Past Presidents

On the “Meetings and Outings” page (all the following information is only accessible to signed-in MGWA members)

• Outing Info and Signup Sheets
• MGWA Outing Cancellation Policy
• MGWA Team Shootout Winners History
• Quill & Tee Signups and Tournament Records

On the “ENewsletters” page

• An archive of our past ENewsletters (this page is still being updated)

On the “Awards Dinner” Page

• Regular Ticket, Member Ticket and Raffle Ticket forms (Member ticket forms are only accessible to signed-in MGWA members)
• A Photo Gallery from past Dinners (including this year’s)
• Awards History – the listing of all our past award winners

On the “Press Releases” page

• An archive of our past press releases (this page is still being updated)

On the “Membership” page

• New Member Application
• Current Member Renewal Forms

Please note that this site is a work in progress.  There are still some minor little tweaks that will be made as mentioned above, but they’ll be taken care of shortly.

A request – if you have any photos of MGWA functions – meetings, outings, etc. – that you’d like to share on the site (they would be accessible on Members-Only pages), please feel free to send them to me.  If you can identify people in the pictures that would be great, but it’s not a requirement. 

Also, if your contact information changes at any point during the year, please let me know so I can update it on the site.  You now won’t need to wait for the Membership Renewal period to make changes.
